This number represents the duality of the duality. It was also a sacred and mystical number, as in other ancient cultures. This number represents the universe's symmetry, the Holy geometry origin, and the design of the cosmos, planet earth, and human beings.
Within the Andean cosmovision, the division of the universe gives origin to duality, what they used to call Hanan and Urin, which means Upper world (sky) and the lower world (underground world); also, north and south, etc. The following division brings right and left, east and west; this way, the space was split in the Andean cruise (constellation) known as CHAKANA. This division set the four regions of the Andean world (south, north, east, and west) called TAWANTINSUYU (Quechua language) or the four regions of the sun, which is considered the Main God. Number four was related to the worship of the four elements: earth, water, wind, and fire.
For us, as a tourism operator, it means four ways of experiencing this trip, four ways of knowing and learning about the places we visit sustainably and responsibly. We are thankful to Mincetur, an institution of the government of Perú, working in the tourism field. We are working with them to offer a new itinerary in areas where usually the tourist has no access due to the low demand and follow our plans. We are introducing projects focused on people who live in these communities, creating a safe environment. We want them to be prepared with the right equipment to be protected against the COVID and follow the protocols of biosecurity established by the Peruvian government.

They were aware of sustainability, constructed wisely, and daily work worshipping nature, and mother earth. Being part of this experience is an invitation to understand better this connection between human beings and nature. Unfortunately, though the time this connection was lost. Our guides will explain to you the deities in these areas, like the mountains, and the coca leaves used as important products for their ceremonies.
