The Inca road network, Qhapaq Ñan, was a network of pre-Hispanic roads that allowed the Inca state to connect almost all of South America, unifying this territory through language, religion, and state policies. All these roads are born from the center or navel of the world, Cusco, specifically from Haucaypata, the Inca meeting place, and from this point, they go towards the four cardinal points. The road that heads east, towards the jungle region known as Antisuyo, runs through archaeological complexes such as Laqo, Cusilluchayoq, Inkilltambo, Wayraq Punku, and Rumiwasi. These archaeological and enigmatic complexes are located very close to Cusco city, among forests of trees typical of the region. This trek will surprise you and leave you with beautiful memories of this little-explored area in the Cusco city

  1. Itinerary -

    This alternative one-day trek will make us know the city differently. Our meeting and the starting point will be Huacaypata, the historic Cusco main square, to continue towards the San Blas artisan neighborhood, famous for its beautiful views of the Cusco's historic center. We will follow the Inca trail of Antisuyo, which will take us to see enigmatic archaeological complexes, ceremonial places, agricultural platforms, and administrative centers where the Inca nobility lived; this is a road little traveled. Here we find beautiful architecture; it speaks of its importance as an entrance to the most sacred city in the Andean universe. Forests and birds typical of this ecosystem will accompany us throughout this journey of discovery.

    Our hike has medium and low difficulty and is ideal for acclimatizing before any other hike at a higher altitude requiring more physical effort. We can do it morning at 9 am and in the afternoon at 1 pm. With our guide, you will learn about the history of these magical places and witness the ancient Peruvians' traditions and culture. We also include a box lunch designed to make this walk your best alternative in the city.

  2. Terms and Conditions -
    • We accept all reservations until 5:00 pm the day before the tour (only if you send us the requested information to the confirmation email by 5:00 pm)
    • Minimum two persons
    • If you buy the group tour and there is not a minimum of 2 people in total, you will have the option of:
      • Postpone tour date.
      • Get the refund.
      • Pay the difference between the group tour and the private tour and do the private tour.

     

    Cancellation policies

    • If the reservation is canceled up to 3 days before the tour, there will be no refund.
    • If the reservation is canceled between 3-7 days before the tour, 50% will be refunded.
    • If the reservation is canceled seven days before the tour, we refund 100%.
    • Change of date costs $20.00 per traveler and is subject to availability.
